Semester Reflection

I can say that this semester was definitely not my best semester. I lost interest almost immediately, and I have no explanation for it. There is no one to blame but myself. I know I can do better, and next semester I’m going to make it right and do my best.
This semester, I demonstrated no learning skills at all. I was irresponsible. I was not organized. I didn’t participate in class discussions, and I had no self-regulation. To improve next semester, I will push myself to complete the work I am assigned, and will also be more organized. I will also come to class and be on time. No more slacking!
I once read, an article by James Altucher called “The Only Technique to Learn Something New” and in that article I read a quote that said, “Don’t force yourself to learn something new if you don’t want to or if it’s not a natural talent.” I think I will also use this next semester because I want to be a better learner in the class room.

Introduction Post

Hi, my name is Tessa, and I am a grade 10 student on Manitoulin Island. I love playing sports, especially volleyball, and basketball. I also love to read, and to listen to alternative rock.
I’m currently taking Math, a Careers class, Canadian History, and English Learning Strategies. This school year, I am looking forward to being on the volleyball team. Thank you.
